National Workshop on Biomedical Research in Public Health (Feb 21-27, 2025)

Research is the systematic and objective process of gathering, recording and analyzing data for taking  appropriate & meaningful decisions. It connotes patient study and scientific investment, wherein the researcher  takes a more careful look at data to discover all that could be known more deeply about the subject under study.  Applied research facilitates managerial decision-making and reduces uncertainty. To keep pace with the recent  advancement in any discipline, one has to be well versed with the latest analytical techniques. Keeping in view  the importance of statistical data analysis, National Workshop on Biomedical Research in Public Health aims to explore the basic dimensions of data analysis for decision making. In this workshop we are exploring  basic statistical techniques used in bio medical research and hands on SPSS software for advance statistical data  analysis through online interactive and practice sessions along with theory behind. Training sessions are  structured to cover the topics outlined in the schedule. The topics have been so chosen that the intricacy of  research methods and data analysis may be understood by participants. Sample data set to analyze and study  material and video lectures will be shared by emails to the participants for practice and to gain confidence to  handle their respective datawhile conducting researches in their respective subject domains

General Objective
The course will explain the fundamental concepts of research methodology in health. It will be
delivered through video lectures and reading materials.

Methodology
The methodology of the course will comprise of:
•Online lecture
• participatory discussion
• Demonstrations
• Problem solving (exercises and data analysis in each sessions).
